Mabel's Poem
Mabel Weavers on the occasion of our second Plastic Bag Free Day in Norwich kindly wrote the following poem.
The Plastic Bag
They’ve been used in the community for many a year
But now we must try to phase them away
As they’re causing pollution to the environment
Because they take years and years to decay
The landfill sites are getting full to capacity
And those plastic bags are not helping this plight
So it makes sense when we do our shopping
To use some other bag – now you know that’s got to be right
Now if everyone bears that in mind
A better environment we can expect to find.
