Energy Monitors

The Norwich Carbon Reduction Trust were delighted to team up with both the Eastern Daily Press and Stephen Bumfrey, the presenter of Radio Norfolk’s Breakfast Show to launch a competition in August for five readers of the EDP to win an energy monitor.

This competition generated lots of entries, was judged by Simon Gerrard of CRed a member of the ncrt board; and the following were the winners:

Mrs Diana Beckley of Rockland St Mary; Jon Carter of Drayton; Alison Potter of East Tuddenham; Simon Taylor of Norwich G.W. Beckford of Hethersett.

The monitors, also available from shops such as John Lewis or search online, monitor how much carbon is being emitted as well as the cost of electricity per hour. Also providing temperature and humidity information they help you to identify where the energy is being used in your home. The aim is, of course, to cut emissions and costs.
